Open Access Policy

Revista Universitară de Sociologie is a fully open access academic journal committed to the free and unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge. All published articles are made immediately and permanently available online without subscription or access barriers, in order to support the widest possible international visibility and exchange of scholarly research.

Full-text access to all articles is provided through the official website of the journal in the Archive section.

Readers and users are permitted to:

• read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles;
• use content for research, educational, and other lawful academic purposes;

without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the authors, provided that proper citation of the original source and authorship is included.

Publication Fee Policy

In order to support the technical and administrative costs associated with the editorial process and open access publication, the journal applies a moderate editorial processing fee of 40 EUR per accepted article.

This fee contributes to:

• editorial administration and manuscript handling;
• technical editing and formatting;
• online hosting and digital publication;
• long-term archiving and accessibility of published content;
• maintenance and development of the journal’s digital infrastructure.

Key principles governing the publication fee:

• The journal does not charge submission fees.
• The editorial processing fee is requested only after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.
• Payment of the fee does not guarantee publication and has no influence on editorial decisions.
• All editorial decisions are based solely on scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
• Authors are informed about payment procedures only after acceptance.

The publication fee applies per article, regardless of the number of authors.

Editorial Independence and Ethical Standards

The journal maintains full editorial independence. Financial considerations are strictly separated from editorial evaluation.

Peer review is conducted according to established academic standards, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and objectivity. Acceptance decisions are made exclusively on academic merit.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work.

By publishing in Revista Universitară de Sociologie, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, archive, and disseminate the article as part of its open access collection.

Articles may be shared and reused provided that:
